DOGINME's 162% Surge Fueled by Coinbase's Roadmap Inclusion

DOGINME's 162% Surge Fueled by Coinbase's Roadmap Inclusion

Coinbase has officially included doginme (DOGINME) in its roadmap, triggering an impressive price surge for the meme coin.

DOGINME, a meme coin launched on the Base blockchain, was inspired by a humorous remark from Dan Romero, the founder of Farcaster. When inquired about his pet ownership, Romero jokingly replied, “No, but I got that dog in me,” leading to the coin's playful name.

Coinbase Includes DOGINME on Its Roadmap

As of the latest data, DOGINME is trading at $0.00106, showcasing a staggering 162% increase within just 24 hours. The token's trading volume has also surged by 246%, reflecting heightened investor interest.

In the previous week, DOGINME has seen a remarkable increase of 297%, significantly surpassing the global cryptocurrency market, which has dipped by 6%. Compared to other meme coins that have faced a decline of 14%, DOGINME's performance remains exceptional.

The wider Base meme coin market has also demonstrated positive growth, with a market cap of $1.0 billion, marking an 8% increase in the last 24 hours, while the overall meme coin market cap has decreased by 0.9%.

Currently ranked 533 on CoinGecko, DOGINME boasts a market cap exceeding $68 million. It has emerged as the leading gainer among Base meme coins and within the broader meme coin sector.

Coinbase’s decision to incorporate DOGINME follows its recent listing of another Base meme coin, Tokenbot (CLANKER). Along with DOGINME and CLANKER, QCAD is also featured on Coinbase’s roadmap; however, the exchange has clarified that this list is not exhaustive.

“Some of the assets mentioned may be listed with this Experimental label,” stated Coinbase in their blog post.

Assets marked with an experimental label may have low trading volumes and pose higher risks, including potential price volatility and canceled orders due to limited availability.

This announcement has spurred activity from other exchanges, such as BitMart, which has quickly moved to relist DOGINME.

“BitMart is excited to announce the relisting of doginme (DOGINME) on March 14th, 2025,” announced BitMart.

This comes on the heels of Coinbase's decision to delist certain meme coins associated with Solana (SOL) and Ethereum (ETH). Coinbase highlighted its ongoing reviews of listed assets to ensure compliance with their standards, which include plans to suspend specific tokens soon.

“After recent evaluations, we plan to suspend trading for FLOKI (FLOKI), Turbo (TURBO), and Gigachad (GIGA) exclusively in New York starting April 14, 2025, around 2 PM ET,” Coinbase stated.

The inclusion of DOGINME in Coinbase's roadmap has significantly boosted its profile, demonstrating the streaming volatility and potential of meme coins in the cryptocurrency landscape.
